Thank You!

Election Day has come and gone! And because of your interest in our District, I have won a seat on the Board. Thanks to all for your support. I look forward to working as a Board Member of Harris County MUD 365.

Interest

I have lived in Harris County MUD 365 at the same address for 10 years with my wife and two sons (now in the 11th grade and in college). I am a lifetime Houston-area resident who has experienced this region's current and past challenges first hand.

My interest in serving as a HC MUD 365 Director stems from my longtime desire to one day utilize my background and knowledge to help in my own MUD's efforts to provide quality services while enhancing property values and reducing taxes when possible.

Objectives
  • Proactive maintenance of all MUD facilities including the District's detention ponds, storm drains, water and sewer lines, water wells, sewer plants and park amenities.
  • Reducing the tax burden for residents by streamlining costs and improving property values.
  • Education and Community Involvement with an emphasis on conservation.

Background

I am a Licensed Professional Engineer with over 24 years of experience in working with Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs).

I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University, and initially I worked for an engineering firm as an engineer's representative for numerous MUDs throughout the Houston area, working on bond issues and the design of water, sewer and storm facilities. For the past 21 years, I've worked for a national homebuilder, where I have been responsible for the development of new subdivisions and thus involved in all aspects of MUD operations.

I am familiar with the HC MUD 365 Board members and their consultants (attorneys, engineers, financial advisors, tax assessors/collectors, and bookkeepers), working on residential development with the District since 2007. I regularly attend meetings of the Board and understand this MUD's responsibility to comply with state standards, manage and maintain a healthy budget, and have emergency preparedness plans.
